About this tool

A free line art generator for vector drawings that move

Line Art Generator draws generative line art from 78 small programs, from wireframe solids and contour maps to strange attractors and Newton’s rings. Every piece takes a seed, so one piece gives you as many variants as you want. You set the colour, stroke weight, glow and speed, and you can fade the drawing back behind a headline so it works as a background.

Who it is for

Designers who want a vector drawing they can recolour and scale, and anyone who needs a quiet moving background for a video, a slide or a site header. It runs in your browser, with no account.

How it works

The file you save is the drawing you see. The SVG is written from the same lines as the preview, so nothing is traced from pixels, and a share link reopens the exact piece, seed and settings.

What it exports

Vector
SVG with real paths, ready for Figma or Illustrator at any size.
Stills
PNG, JPEG or WebP at up to 6000 px, a PNG with a transparent background, or one zip of every size as PNG and SVG.
Loops
A looping video, WebM or MP4 depending on your browser, an animated GIF, or a PNG sequence with real transparency for After Effects or Premiere.
Packs
8 to 64 variants in one zip, each as PNG and SVG, with a manifest.
Code
One runnable HTML file with your settings in it, the piece’s source code, and a CATALOGUE.md that describes every piece for an AI agent.
