Every tool at durabilitycurve.com/tools runs entirely in your browser. The numbers you type, the decisions you score, the verdicts you get: none of it is sent anywhere. Where a tool remembers something between visits, it uses your browser's own local storage on your own machine, and that never leaves it. The only thing that touches them is the site-wide, cookieless page count, which records a visit but nothing you enter.

When you open an essay, this browser remembers where you stopped, how long you read, and what you saved or finished, so the archive can show your shelf and an essay can offer to pick up where you left off. It is kept in your browser's local storage and is never sent to me or anyone else.

That also means it does not follow you to another device on its own. Export it here and import the file on the other device; the import merges, keeping the furthest you have read anywhere. Essays you save are also kept in this browser's cache, so they open without a connection; unsaving one removes it.

One measurement runs here, it is cookieless, and it identifies no one.

Cloudflare Web Analytics runs site-wide and is cookieless. It counts page views and rough performance without cookies, without following you across sites, and without collecting anything that identifies you. It records the page, the site or link that referred you, a country derived from your IP address, and your browser and device type. It is not used for advertising.

There is no Google Analytics on this site. It ran until 2026-09-08 and was removed. It had been configured to run cookieless, which turned out not to be a working configuration: the hits left the browser and Google discarded them, so it reported nothing at all for its last ten days. A measurement that reports nothing is worse than no measurement, because it looks like one. Rather than add the consent banner that would have made it work, it was taken out.

The subscribe boxes are Substack's. When you subscribe, your email is handled by Substack under its own privacy policy. This site does not receive or store your email address.

If you are in the UK or EU, you have the right to ask what data relates to you and to have it deleted. The analytics here is aggregate and sets no identifier, and this site holds no email list of its own, so in practice there is nothing that singles you out.
