Google released Gemini 3.8 Flash on 2 Sep 2026. API list price: $0.75 per million input tokens and $3.75 per million output tokens. Google says it rises to $1.50 in and $7.50 out on 1 Jan 2027. Google’s API has a free tier for it. Gemini’s free plan does not name it.

The launch post names Pro and Ultra for consumer access. Google’s plan page lists 3.6 Flash for free users, and from 9 October Google’s help page says most prompts from users without a plan go to Flash-Lite, with harder ones sent to Flash or Pro. Source
